About Nozawa Onsen

Nozawa Onsen, in the mountains of Nagano, pairs one of Japan's great ski areas with a centuries-old hot-spring village famous for its free public baths. Rising from the village at about 565 m to the summit of Mt. Kenashi at 1650 m, it offers some 50 km of varied terrain - from the broad, gentle Uenotaira plateau to the legendary steep Kandahar and Schneider runs and the powder-filled Yamabiko area up high. With gondolas, fast chairs, night skiing, ski schools, rentals and atmospheric onsen streets, it blends world-class snow with timeless Japanese culture.
