About Saariselkä

Saariselkä, a resort village in far-northern Finnish Lapland near Inari, sits among gentle, rounded fells and is one of Finland's northernmost downhill areas, centred on the Kaunispää fell at about 438 m. With around 15 slopes and a vertical of roughly 180 m, plus extensive cross-country trails, it offers a long, snow-sure Arctic season, reliable cold-climate snow, floodlit slopes through the polar night and frequent northern lights. Gentle, family-friendly pistes, a ski school, rentals, restaurants and easy access to wilderness make it a distinctive winter and aurora destination.
