About Szczyrk
Szczyrk, a resort town at about 500 m in the Silesian Beskids, is home to Szczyrk Mountain Resort - now one of Poland's largest and most modern ski areas, with around 40 km of pistes across the Skrzyczne and Solisko-Klimczok mountains, rising to about 1257 m on Skrzyczne, the highest peak of the Beskids. Recent investment in fast gondolas and chairlifts opened up long, varied, tree-lined descents, wide cruising, terrain parks and floodlit slopes. Ski schools, rentals, restaurants and good snowmaking make it a popular, well-connected destination in southern Poland.
