About Štrbské Pleso

Štrbské Pleso, set beside its namesake glacial lake at about 1350 m in Slovakia's High Tatras, is one of the country's most scenic and snow-sure resorts. A chairlift climbs to the Solisko at about 1840 m, serving around 10 km of pistes with sweeping Tatra views, from gentle lakeside slopes to a steeper black run, backed by reliable high-altitude snow and snowmaking. A renowned Nordic-skiing and ski-jumping centre, it also offers cross-country trails, a ski school, rentals, mountain hotels and restaurants, all reachable by the historic Tatra electric railway.
