About Sierra Nevada
Sierra Nevada, rising above Granada in Andalusia, is Europe's southernmost major ski resort and the highest in Spain, based at Pradollano around 2100 m with pistes climbing toward the Veleta at about 3300 m. Around 110 km of sunny, high-altitude runs combine reliable snow with long sunshine hours and views that can stretch to the Mediterranean and the mountains of North Africa. Wide cruising, a major snowpark, beginner zones, a World-Championship race pedigree, ski schools, rentals, a lively pedestrian village and vibrant nightlife make it a distinctive southern-European destination.
