About Villars-sur-Ollon

Villars-sur-Ollon, a sunny village at about 1300 m in the Vaud Alps above the Rhône valley, shares with Gryon and Les Diablerets a ski area of around 125 km of pistes, with access to the snow-sure Glacier 3000 at about 3000 m. Reached from the village by a historic cog railway to Col de Bretaye, it offers wide, gentle, tree-lined cruising with grand views of the Dents du Midi and Mont Blanc, making it a favourite with families and intermediates. A snowpark, beginner areas, off-piste near the glacier, ski schools, rentals and mountain restaurants round out a relaxed, scenic resort.
