About Golden
Golden, a railway town in the Purcell Mountains of British Columbia, is the gateway to Kicking Horse Mountain Resort, known for its champagne powder, huge vertical of about 1260 m and famously steep terrain. The Golden Eagle Express gondola climbs to Eagle's Eye near 2450 m, opening some 2,800 acres and 120 trails dominated by big alpine bowls and over 80 inbound chutes - Crystal Bowl, Feuz Bowl and Super Bowl among them - plus tree skiing and a small set of beginner runs. Canada's highest restaurant, ski schools, rentals and reliable snow make it a serious big-mountain destination.
