About Fernie
Fernie Alpine Resort, beneath the Lizard Range in the Canadian Rockies of British Columbia, is famed for deep, reliable powder spread across five big alpine bowls - Lizard, Cedar, Timber, Currie and Siberia. About 2,500 acres and roughly 140 trails climb from a base near 1067 m to about 2134 m, with steep chutes, superb tree skiing, long groomers and gentle beginner areas. Fast chairs, a historic Bavarian-influenced mining town below, ski schools, rentals and a relaxed atmosphere make it a favourite for powder hounds and families alike.
