About Taos
Taos Ski Valley, high in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains of northern New Mexico, is famed for its steep expert terrain, dry high-desert powder and a base at about 2805 m climbing to Kachina Peak at roughly 3804 m (12,481 ft). Around 1,300 acres and over 100 trails range from the gentle Strawberry Hill learning area and long groomers to the legendary bumps of Al's Run and the hike-to ridge chutes, with a lift now serving the once hike-only Kachina Peak. A distinctive Southwestern village, ski school, rentals and excellent snow make it a connoisseur's mountain.
