About Hintertux Glacier

The Hintertux Glacier (Hintertuxer Gletscher), at the head of the Tux valley in the Zillertal, is the only ski area in Austria open 365 days a year. Snow-sure pistes climb from the valley at around 1500 m to the Gefrorene Wand at about 3250 m, offering reliable glacier skiing every month, a long descent to the valley in season, terrain for all levels, and the Natur Eis Palast ice cave. Part of the Ski- und Gletscherwelt Zillertal 3000 with Tux-Finkenberg, it has modern lifts, ski schools, rentals and panoramic mountain restaurants.
