About Thredbo
Thredbo, in the Snowy Mountains of New South Wales, is Australia's premier alpine resort, set in Kosciuszko National Park beneath the country's highest peaks. With the greatest vertical drop in Australia - about 672 m from 2037 m down to the village at 1365 m - it boasts the nation's longest runs, including the sweeping Supertrail, alongside steep challenges like Funnel Web and a broad beginner area at Friday Flat. Served by the Merritts Gondola and fast chairlifts, with extensive snowmaking, ski schools, rentals, restaurants and a lively alpine village, Thredbo offers terrain for every level through the southern winter.
